I am an award-winning teacher and have taught for almost twenty years at universities across the UK. As a lecturer in modern and contemporary literature, I ran courses, designed modules and delivered lectures and talks at all levels, as well as supervising dissertations and Ph.D. research.
Teaching is a huge part of undertaking any sort of academic or intellectual engagement and conversations with students and learners at all levels should engage all of our work as writers, researchers and thinkers.
I deliver workshops and advice for writers or all ages and backgrounds, as well as offering support and training for organisations and charities around teaching, running workshops and training and supporting tutors.
I am a fellow of Advance HE, the awarding body for teaching in Higher Education.
